In Oaxaca, Jim and Laura Maser begin each morning the same way...at the central market with a traditional Mexican breakfast of enfrijoladas and piping hot chocolate. Amazed at the perfect simplicity of ingredients and flavor, Jim and Laura decided to bring this traditional Oaxacan experience to you at Picante. Handmade corn tortillas are immersed in black bean puree, seasoned with epazote, and garnished with queso fresco and crema to make our Oaxacan enfrijoladas. Our hot chocolate is made from chocolate we import directly from Mahordomo, the premier chocolate producer in Oaxaca.
